The squad is included in the starter box set. It includes Ahsoka, Bo Katan Kryze, and the Clan Kryze Mandalorians
Ahsoka provides the usual 3 force points, and give 8 squad points allowing her to lead most any combination of secondary and support units.
Ahsoka is primarily a defensive oriented Primary character, punishing enemy units for attacking her with damage, and also gaining either a strong heal or a slight attack each time any allied unit in her force gets wounded.
Her combat trees have a utility side with strong defenses coupled with pushes, jumps, healing, etc, or a straight damage side, with slightly reduced defences.
overall, she's a good utility leader, making your opponent think about their attacks as it will often cause damage in return to their own units. Like Anakin, she can fit into nearly ANY other squads, since her one synergy is not keyword dependent. She does also have the Galactic Republic tag to benefit from other's abilities (like commander Rex, or coordinated fire from clone troopers)
Again, in this squad pack, all the synergies are tied to the secondary character: Bo Katan
Bo Katan Kryze: 4 point Secondary character
She brings ALOT of strong bonuses to units that have the Mandalorian tag... which, if we notice, is NOT Ahsoka, so she doesn't really benefit, nor provide benefit to the primary character included in her squad. she DOES however, make mandalorians much much tougher. Also, like all mandalorians, she is extremly mobile, with a jump ability built in for just a force point. and giving a free jump to any other mandalorian on the table when she activates. like most secondary characters, she brings a decent amount of combat ability and flexible to use either melee or ranged. As long as she moves near other mandalorians, she gets free focus actions, which will also allow her to move more and heal. Mandalorians are exceptional at holding objectives also, because if they're within range 3 of Bo katan, they gain BOTH protection and steadfast (and she's always with 3 of herself...) at first glance, her defenses seem a bit low with only 4 defence dice, but noting that she only needs one expertise symbol to gain 2 free blocks, her defense is much better as long as she can benefit from expertise.
Clan Kryze Mandalorians: 4 point support unit
There are the "shooty" variety of Mandalorians. They also have the ability to get free focus actions if they end their move action within range 2 of another mandalorian character... but since it says character and not unit... it seems they can trigger this from themselves, as long as they stay within rage 2 of each other. This means their ranged attacks with typically have 8 dice, and thei combat tree is actually pretty goodwith pins and lots of pushes, along with a little bit of damage. They are also exceptionally mobile, with the jump ability.
What squad pairs well with this one? any really, but Lord Maul's squad is a good choice becuase it has two more Mandalorian units to really double down into the mandalorian squad synergies. With maul and Ahsoka running around dishing out combat damage and generally making opponents not want to attack them (as maul gets stronger and Ahsoka reflects damage back) and the 4 mandalorian units all stacking up a bunch of bonuses and free focus actions and generally wandering the board as they please with jumps. Honestly, you could take ANY other 8 squad point Primary unit that you want the abilities from, and still take the other two mandalorian units. most of them have specific keyword based syntergies that you would lose out on though taking all Mandalorians instead of the units that are meant to come in their squads. A possible good choice however, instead of Maul, is Asajj Ventress, since only her slip away ability would be lost, and it is only of minor benefit in games anyway. You would be giving up on alot of damage dealing from lord maul, but you would gain tremendous mobility, and the extremely powerful Force Push ability.
What units could you swap out with Ahsoka? Dump all the mandalorians, and you can take any 8 point combo you want, even Kalani and some droids (which could be very good when paired with dooku or grevious squads) or you could take Commander Cody and some Republic Clone Commandos, which would pair up exceptionally well with Obi Wan and his squad pack. You could also take the Third Sister and one of the Inquisitorius Support units and interesting combo could also be to take Savage Opress and some B2 Battle droids, alsong with Asajj Ventress' squad pack. Ahsoka is probably one of the most flexible primary units in the game.
