Building your Force:
Honestly, the Easiest way to do this is like this: Look through the Theme Posse cards (linked just under each boss on the website) until you find one you like.
Take that boss.
Then begin selecting units to fill the slots in that posse (remember you must go in order, slot 1 unlocks slot 2, which unlocks slot 3 and so on.) (Each posse is broken down in much greater detail in the faction strategy guides on this forum)
You may then select one Strategic Unit for each boss that you have (usually just one) assuming that you have the points leftover to pay for it.
IF you have extra points (or a posse that doesn't need to fill all the slots) you can choose another Boss (and their theme posse). However, that second boss must either come from your faction (the same faction as your first boss) -OR- their theme posse card must have your faction listed at the top of it.
For example, Bass Reeves is a Lawmen Faction Boss and his theme posse card says at the top "In a LAWMAN / WARRIOR NATION Force..." means this boss may be selected as a second boss in a Lawmen force, OR as an ally in a Warrior Nation faction force) If they do not exactly match your first boss' faction, then they are an "allied" boss (and posse) and you can't exceed the number of main faction bosses with allied bosses.
If that sounds too complicated, seriously, just pick a Theme Posse, and fill it up. Beginner games typically have 650 point limits, and official gunslinger events have official point caps of 650, 800, 1000, and 1200 points. The most common of the beginner focused Gunslinger events is the 1200 point force on a 4x4 table.
